Kim Hyun Joong met his fans at a special charity event for earthquake victims and to celebrate his drama, 'Playful Kiss', which had aired in Japan recently.

It was learnt that Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min, who starring in the drama 'Playful Kiss' together as its male and female leads, had a great time with  10,000 fans at the Tokyo International Forum on Aug 2, split between two sessions: one at 2pm and another at 6.30pm.At a similar event last May, Kim Hyun Joong had gathered 6,000 fans in one place (when the drama had first started broadcast). After the drama had finished airing in Japan, it was remarkable that over 10,000 seats were sold out this time, a clear indication of his (high) popularity.

For this event, from the very first day, the number of applicants had exceeded the number of bookable tickets, so the audience had to be chosen by lottery, an indication of how popular Kim Hyun Joong is in Japan now. The tickets were completely sold out and the event place was filled with many excicted fans who had come to see Kim Hyun Joong.

Kim Hyun Joong revealed his love of the drama and the character he played during a talk with Jung So Min. He also revealed interesting episodes when filming the drama; it was truly a special time for the many fans who had enjoyed the drama. Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min had an enjoyable time with fans and played games like 'word association quiz' to find out their thoughts about the drama, and an 'ultra OX quiz' to share more about themselves with fans. Kim Hyun Joong also received a big applause from the crowd by performing three songs: 'Thank you' (a solo from his ss501 days) 'One More Time' from the Playful Kiss OST, and 'Kiss Kiss' from his 1st solo mini-album in return for his fans' support. Kim Hyun Joong had a tight schedule in his visit to Japan this time; there was an album showcase, a broadcast interview, the 'Playful Kiss' Charity Event, and several magazine interviews before he flies back to Korea. After that, he is scheduled to promote his 1st mini album in Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and so on.
