Kim Hyun Joong debuted as a magnetic leader of SS501 in June 2005.  When he first appeared to the public people was overwhelmed both by his looks and persona.  At the young age of 19 his physical characteristic were undeniably overwhelming.  He was born with good genes.  Unusual among newbies who had just debuted, He shined.  Even if you just meet him walking at he street you could tell he was no ordinary person.  And on top of that his 4 D personality that didn’t seem to fit his besutiful looks, He was not easy to figure out.

HE is the man who possesses charm that crosses borders and nationalities, He explodes with energy and Charisma on stage.  Where does his charm/appeal came from?  It is unquestionably his stunning looks, no doubt.  His beautiful looks were more than enough to win over women’s hearts, whatever the generation.  The praise for his looks is a truth that no one can deny especially his one million dollar smile and we have to acknowledge he deserves the name SMILE ANGEL. HIs quirky personality remains unchanged from his debut days.  He ranks first in many polls and surveys.

He spent his childhood days in Song- pa Gu area.  Even childhood He already stand out from the others,as expected his looks were the talk of the town even as a kid, He is a well known kid.  since his childhood he already knows how to save money, starting in first grade and the following six years he visited the bank daily.  Even at a young age, he was well-known as a diligent child who saved whenever he got an allowance.  During his elementary days   Hyun Joong was a model student and also did well in his studies.  He is popular in school.

Kim Hyun Joong short-lived model  student life ended there.  As he entered highschool, he faced a new phased in life.  He lose interest in studying and build a wall between  himself and studying.  He is physically attending classes but his mind was elsewhere.  Sitting in one corner of the classroom, he had other  dreams that he wanted to pursue.  He had entered  a major entertainment agency as a trainee, and was preparing for a singing  debut.  A sudden singing debut of an ideal son and student.  However , in reality it was far from being sudden. People who say that he became singer merely of his looks, you do not know him at all.  He is a kid who got thrilled by simply listening to music His studio is filled with his guitar collection.  He has fast moving and skilled fingers as talented basist.  He first encountered bass guitar in Junior High, It was those time his musical talent was discovered. besutiful looks, He was not easy to figure out.

Since forming a band AXERS , he seriously started pursuing music.  Students both male and female was mesmerized by his performance and seeing the other side of Kim Hyun Joong.  His passion for music bloomed, seeing his youthful look as he dreamed of becoming a singer does not look too unfamiliar to us all.  This was the time hat he was actively involved in music activities, whether then or now one thing that stands out is his looks.  This was when he was selected by a music agency and had started preparing to become a singer.  Although he was busy practicing singing and dancing  to become an idol singer He did not give up on playing his guitar.  That is how much Kim Hyun Joong simply loved music, with the pure desire to do music for the rest of his life  He spent his teen years with his band mates.

Since then after debuting as a member of SS501, He is perhaps getting closer in reaching his dreams.  The Leader of n idol group, however he still holds the passion in his heart,  Kim Hyun Joong the SINGER!

In 2009 Kim Hyun joong became the blue chip of CF world, after his debut he established himself as a CF model and active MC of many programs. He joined the cast of avariety reality show we got married with Hwang Bo, who is 6 years older than him. They achieved high popularity acting as a newlywed couple. Known as the “Lettuce Couple”, Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo went on to win MBC’s Best Couple Award. Due to his appearance on We Got Married, he was cast in the Korean version of Hanayori Dango as one of the members of the famous F4.

In the hit drama series, Boys Over Flowers, he plays Yoon Ji Hoo. The series was a huge media and ratings sensation in Korea during its run from January to March 2009, garnering a huge amount of popularity for the entertainer. The series was not only a hit in Korea, but all around Asia as well.
